Over the past few days, the Notice of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Case was mailed to all former Allegro Law, LLC, customer/clients. This is a required notice to those who had business dealings with Allegro Law, LLC. For those receiving this notice, there is no action necessary at this time. As stated in earlier updates (May 2, 2010 and May 11, 2010), the Proof of Claim forms, the forms necessary to file your claim against Allegro Law, LLC, will be provided in the same manner as the mailing just received.
It is yet undecided whether the Court will employ a “modified” Proof of Claim process for this case, therefore making the Standard Bankruptcy Form Proof of Claim less than fully effective. At the time any Proof of Claim form receives Court approval for this case, all former Allegro Law, LLC, customer/clients will be provided with this approved claim form, instructions and other necessary documents.
As stated above, neither the Clerk’s office nor the Trustee’s office can provide advice related to this case. Additional information will be provided in subsequent mailings. Having now received the listing of Allegro Law, LLC customer/clients from the third party processor, the Notice of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Case should be mailed to all former customer/clients within days. This mailing will include basic information about the Allegro Law, LLC bankruptcy. Within weeks after this mailing a Proof of Claim form along with other necessary information will be provided to all former customer/clients.

The Meeting of Creditors Hearing pursuant to § 341, U. S. Bankruptcy Code for Allegro Law, LLC was originally conducted on April 16, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Because many creditors had yet to be notified, the Trustee continued this original § 341 hearing until July 21, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 105, Sec. 341 Meeting Room, Frank M. Johnson, Jr. Federal Courthouse, Lee Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104. Attendance is allowed but not required.


May 2, 2010

On Friday April 30, 2010, the Court authorized the Trustee’s office to hire a claims agent to act on behalf of Allegro Law, LLC as it relates to the mailing of the Notice of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Case and eventually the Proof of Claim forms. This claims agent will be responsible for assembling the client list from the third party processor utilized by Allegro Law, LLC and mailing and processing of various documents to customer/clients.

As mentioned earlier, for customer/clients mailing payments to Allegro Law, LLC, the Trustee’s office requests that these payments not be mailed to Allegro Law, LLC. For those customer/clients that made payments via ACH debit, the company responsible for this activity ceased the debits on April 5, 2010. There should not be any future ACH debits from any customer/client accounts on behalf of Allegro Law, LLC. For those customer/clients that made payments to Allegro Law, LLC via wire transfer, the Trustee’s office instructed a third party processor on April 8, 2010, to disable the feature that allowed wire transfers to Allegro Law LLC at Western Union and MoneyGram.
